Chicago Pizza

Chicago Pizza is a relatively new restaurant located almost directly in the middle of Sannamdong on the main street. The walls are decorated in fun comical Chicago pizza signs while almost everything else is black as pitch. There are a bunch of lights hanging from the ceiling to make a kinda starry night vibe. Overall, pretty nice spot. Most of the tables are two seaters, but could easily be pushed together for larger groups.

Ricotta Cheese Salad

The ricotta cheese salad has mixed greens, tomato wedges, a heaping hunk of ricotta, topped with sliced almonds and dried cranberries. The dressing is an oil and balsamic vinaigrette. It comes with a bun on the side. I always love a ricotta salad and this one does not disappoint. The tomato wedges are a nice palate freshener between the lovely heaps of ricotta. It is a pretty simple salad, the amount of ricotta cheese on its own is well worth the 9,000.
The Pizza
Before getting into the bacon cream pizza, I'm going to take a step back and talk about the pizza here in general. You probably looked at the price and said, "That much for an eight inch pizza! This is madness, I say, madness!" But it really isn't. These pizzas are thick and filling. Really, this is more of a pizza pie. I'm a guy that can eat, as many of you already know. I had one salad, two slices of the 8 inch pizza, and I was done. I think one of these bad boys could feed two people pretty well.

The Bacon Cream Pizza
Alright, prepare yourselves; I am going to use the adjective 'thick' a lot, pretty much every step of the way. The bacon cream pizza has thick pieces of bacon, almost Canadian bacon style; with a thick and rich, slightly spicy cream sauce. The crust has a thin, yes thin, layer of crust over a thick layer of mozza cheese filling with another thin layer of crust. The crust itself is light and flaky, not an easy thing to find in Korea. The whole thing is topped with herbs and seasoning. A damn good pizza, but don't try to tackle even the 8 inch on your own!
