Black Friday

​Black Friday in Cheongju doesn’t mean a shopping spree… it means drink specials at your favorite bars!

MJs and Roadking will both be having special “Black Friday” sales this week. You can get great discounts on cocktails, beers, and shots.  Have some fun this Friday!

Pub Quiz

​Pub quiz at Road King is back from its summer hiatus! This trivia night features 5 rounds of questions on various topics, such as history, music, film & TV, literature, science, geography, and celebrities.
 
You play on a team of up to 6 people, but even if you don’t have a team, it’s easy to join one or create one on-the-spot. It’s 5,000 won to play per person, with the winning team getting all of the prize money and the 2nd place team winning alcohol from the bar. Come at 6:00 to make your team, and it starts at 6:30.
 
You can join the Facebook group “Cheongju Pub Quiz” to get monthly event invites.

International Chopsticks Festival

​From November 11th through December 17th, Cheongju is hosting to a variety of events celebrating the International Chopsticks Festival.   Korea, Japan, and China will be simultaneously celebrating the 2000 year anniversary of the chopsticks. 
 
The events kicked off on 11/11 (because the date looks like 4 chopsticks!). At the Cheongju Historic Museum of Baekje (청주백제유물전시관) in Shinbong-dong, there is an exhibition about chopsticks from the 3 countries that displays ornate and historically-significant chopsticks. The exhibition is from 9:00am to 5:00pm daily until December 17th.
